Apply the TypeScript 5.9 baseline first. These rules target the Angular 20 LTS line and were checked against framework 20.3.30.

Version and build integrity

  • Run the newest Angular 20 patch and take each one as it ships. During its LTS window Angular 20 gets only critical and security fixes, published as new patches of its last minor, and nothing after that window closes, so plan the move to a supported major before then. Keep @angular/core, @angular/compiler, @angular/common, @angular/router, @angular/platform-browser, @angular/platform-server, @angular/service-worker, and the other packages released with @angular/core on one patch level and update them together. Read the angular/angular and angular/angular-cli repository advisories when you update, because some Angular SSR advisories are published only there and don't appear in the database npm audit reads.
  • Update the Angular CLI, @angular/build, and @angular/ssr separately. They ship from the angular-cli repository with their own patch numbers, so a current framework patch doesn't tell you whether @angular/ssr is patched.
  • Use only Angular 20.3.x-supported Node.js, TypeScript, and RxJS ranges; do not force incompatible peer versions or suppress peer-dependency failures.
  • Build production applications with the CLI's AOT compiler and production configuration; do not ship JIT compilation, platformBrowserDynamic, development bundles, or debug tooling.
  • Treat Angular templates as executable code. Never concatenate user data into template source, component metadata, selectors, host
